BRAZILIAN SAVANNA
The rare Maned Wolf, endangered and endemics birds, Waterfalls, Caves and Canyons
CHAPADA DOS GUIMARÃES NATIONAL PARK, NOBRES & EMAS NATIONAL PARK
Spreading through 23% of the nation’s territory, the Brazilian Savanna or Cerrado is Brazil’s second largest biome with 2 million km². Located in the central part of South America, it is in touch with the country’s other biomes: the Amazon (5,5 million km²), the Caatinga, the Atlantic rainforest, the Chaco and the Pantanal. The Cerrado is a mosaic of plateaus and valleys with various different plant formations, which has been categorized as a tropical savanna ecosystem similar to savanna territories in Africa and Australia. The Cerrado is the world's most biologically rich savanna, it is home to 856 species of birds, 277 species of mammals and over 10,000 species of plants, of which 45% are exclusive to the Cerrado. The Cerrado also feeds three of the major water basins in South America: the Amazon, Paraguay and São Francisco Rivers.

Nobres & Bom Jardim
Located in Central Mato Grosso, 150 km from Cuiabá, completely off the beaten path, Nobres has a little district called Bom Jardim, surrounded by ever green mountain ranges rich in limestone formations, embedded in a transition forest between Cerrado and Amazon. The region is full of peculiarities: complex of caves, crystal-clear rivers with great diversity of fishes, beautiful forest trails, and a lagoon where Blue-and-Yellow Macaws congregate in the early evening. The region offers not only an amazing number of birds but also 4 species of monkeys and a spectacular scenery of the Serra Azul State Park. Furthermore the region offers the finest scuba diving in caves and crystaline rivers, where we target tropical river fishes and a realm of other aquatic wildlife such as Water-Turtles, Stingray, Dourado, Striped-Catfish and Anacondas.
Emas National Park
This is undoubtly a wildlife jewel in the Cerrado, a 150,000 hectares National Park and an UNESCO world heritage site, located between the States of Goiás e Southern Mato-Grosso, Center-West Region of Brazil. Emas National Park shows a typical Cerrado ecossystem, a treeless savanna dominated by termite mounds. This unique scenery provide a surreal setting for large concentrations of Pampas Deer, Giant Anteater and Greater Rhea, or "Ema" in Portuguese. The Maned Wolf is frequently seen roaming the grasses in search of tinamou and other prey. The park holds the greatest concentration of Blue-and-Yellow Macaws outside Amazonia, Blue-winged and Red-bellied Macaws, White Woodpeckers, Streamer-tailed Tyrants, an array of hummingbirds and other showy birds.
This huge National Park features great scenery and exuberant fauna: the Giant Anteater, the elegant Maned Wolf, the rare Bush Dog, Tapir, Giant Armadillo, Pampas Deer, Jaguar, 6 species of Macaws, Toco Toucan and great diversity of endemic bird species. Our Emas National Park Safari is led by professional wildlife guides, regarded as the region's finest naturalists.
